Teaching is a profession I have always aspired to practice. Being a product of the Catholic school system, particularly St. Mary's and Regina High School, I had legendary teachers whom I looked up to. They nurtured my Catholic values and instilled in me an appreciation for faith-based education. In turn, I strive to preserve my enthusiasm for learning so that I may remain consistent and
effective in my own teaching practices. I graduted from Oakland University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Soon after, I began my teaching career at St. Mary School where I taught Mathematics to 7th and 8th grades. I came to St. Paul in 2012 and am very excited to be teaching 5th grade. Everyday is a new adventure; and each year I teach is filled with such wonderful memories. In May 2014, I graduated with my Master of Arts Degree in Middle School Teaching from Saginaw Valley State University. When I am not teaching, I love a good sale with my mom, leisurely reading with a cup of coffee, or a relaxing weekend up north. My husband and I were married at St. Paul in April 2014. We are enjoying married life and are spending our time traveling and remodeling our home. Last December welcomed our first child, Victoria. Please take the time to send me an e-mail, or visit with me before or after school so that I can get to know you too! I am looking forward to a successful and wonderful year ahead. ~Karen Reese [email protected] |
